Product no.: BS400-FB

Short sleeve retro tee with Frito Bandito graphic on front. The Frito Bandito was the cartoon mascot for our favorite corn chip company from 1967 to 1971. The Bandito was the same famous voice used for another Speedy Mexican cartoon character -- Can you guess? The Bandito robbed people of their corn chips! Pressure from the National Mexican American Anti-Defamation Committee and others prompted an update to the character; his gold tooth and stubble were eliminated and his hair combed -- this is the cleaner-cut Bandito. The Bandito was completely retired in 1971. The Bandito’s original signature song was sung to the tune of the well-known traditional Mexican song, "Cielito Lindo" -- Ay, ay, ay, ay! oh, I am dee Frito Bandito. I like Frito's Corn Chips. I love them, I do. I want Frito's corn chips. I'll take them, from you! The song was later replaced with what were considered more politically correct lyrics. This little popped up in between Saturday morning cartoons -- kids loved him then and STILL love those corn chips now!
