The Stars were a professional American football team which played in the United States Football League (USFL) in the mid-1980s. They played at Veterans Stadium and later at Franklin Field. For the team's entire run, they were coached by Jim Mora (Sr). They were led by 4th year QB Chuck Fusina (1978 Heisman Trophy runner-up), 5th year WR Scott Fitzkee, Rookie HB Kelvin Bryant of UNC, Rookie OT Irv Eatman of UCLA, Rookie LB Sam Mills, and 2nd year S Scott Woerner.
